PDF to Excel
Turn the tables and text in a PDF into an Excel spreadsheet. Everything happens in your browser, so your PDF is never uploaded to our server. Works with PDFs that contain real text, such as exports from Word, Excel or accounting software.
Drop a PDF here or click to choose
One PDF at a time, up to 50 MB and 300 pages.
Lower values split text into more columns, higher values keep more text together. Adjust and press Convert again if columns look wrong.
Values with leading zeros, such as 007, stay as text.

Frequently asked questions
No. Your browser reads the PDF on your own device. Only the page and a few scripts are downloaded.
Scanned PDFs and photos of documents contain pictures of text, not real text, so there is nothing to extract. This tool needs PDFs with a text layer, such as ones exported from Word, Excel or accounting software.
PDFs do not store tables, only text at positions on the page, so columns are rebuilt by looking at how the text lines up. Clean tables convert well. Complex layouts, merged cells and text in several columns may need a quick check in Excel, which is why a preview is shown before you download.
Move the Column spacing slider and press Convert again. Choose "All pages on one sheet" when a table continues across pages, or "One line of text per row" if you only need the text.
