No. Images are split by your browser on your own device.
Choose 3 columns and the number of rows you want, for example 3 by 3 for nine posts. Tick "Number from the last piece" so that piece 01 is the bottom right one. Instagram shows the newest post first, so post the pieces in number order and the grid will line up on your profile.
With columns and rows, the pieces are as equal as possible, with at most one pixel of difference. With a piece size in pixels, the pieces at the right and bottom edges can be smaller than the rest.
