No. Images are cropped by your browser on your own device.
Draw the box on the Original preview. With a fixed shape such as 1:1 or 16:9, every image is cropped to that shape around the same center, and the box is the same share of each image's width. With "Free", the same area, as a share of the image, is used for every image. Click another image in the list to check how it will look.
Choose "Exact size in pixels" and enter the width and height. Each image is cropped to that shape and then scaled to exactly that size. Images smaller than the target are enlarged, which can make them look soft.
Cropping itself keeps every pixel. JPG and WEBP files are saved again, so a quality of 90 or higher keeps them looking the same. PNG is lossless.
